It is our great pleasure to invite you to participate in the 7th Asian Pacific Society of Periodontology Meeting which will be held in Beijing on September 21 and 22, 2007—the day after the National Tooth-Loving Day. In conjunction, the 8th National Conference of the Chinese Society of Periodontology will be held on September 23 and 24, 2007.

Since its establishment, the Asian Pacific Society of Periodontology (APSP) has provided a common platform for collaboration and exchange in periodontal research as well as practice in the Asian Pacific region. Bi-annual meetings have been held in various countries with great success. Through these meetings the APSP has developed and its members increased significantly. Now, it is our pleasure and honour to host the 7th APSP meeting in Beijing in the year of 2007.

During the past years, the Chinese Society of Periodontology (CSP) has successfully conducted a series of conferences and other activities domestically and internationally to further develop periodontics and to better serve the Chinese people. It is our belief that hosting the 7th APSP meeting will further promote the connection and cooperation among the Chinese Society of Periodontology and colleagues from Asian Pacific regions.

China, a country with more than 5000 years of civilization, is undergoing modernization. The co-existence of ancient and modern cultures is attractive to the world. The Organizing Committee is committed to making this conference in Beijing a scientific, informative and enjoyable one. Please come and join us to exchange your scientific knowledge and professional experience of interest with colleagues from the Asian-Pacific regions.
