Passport and Visa
China International Conference Center for Science and Technology (CICCST), the organizer of 4th ASOMP, will send you a visa application form, with which you can apply for entrance visa at the nearest Chinese Embassy or Consulate, generally after your valid registration form with payment or payment guarantee reach CICCST.

Weather
The weather in early November in Beijing is nice and a little bit dry. The high temperature is around 15'C and the low is around 10'C.
Insurance
The registration fee does not include insurance about accidents, sickness or loss of personal property for participants. You are advised to make necessary arrangement for a short-term health and accident insurance before leaving your country.
Currency Exchange
In China, only CNY is used. Exchange centers can be found at airports, hotels and tourist shopping centers. The exchange rate now is about US$1=RMB6.8.
Visa, Master, American Express, Diners Club, JCB, and other credit cards are accepted in many department stores and hotels in China.
The Bank of China and most hotels can cash traveller cheques issued by any foreign bank or financial institution. You need to show your passport and pay commission. Traveller cheque signed over to a third party cannot be cashed in China.
Arrival & Leaving
The distance between Beijing Capital International Airport and Beijing Friendship Hotel is about 34 kilometers.
Taxi service is available at the Beijing Capital Airport during the whole day. The cost between the Airport and the Beijing Friendship Hotel is about RMB110, RMB2/kilometre.
Airport shuttle buses with different routes are available at the airport, about RMB16/person. Please take the correct one with the stop of Beijing Friendship Hotel. The stop is opposite to the north gate of the hotel.
The shuttle bus stop from the hotel to the airport is near the hotel's north gate. Buses depart every 15 minutes. More details are available at the hotel's reception desk.

Reconfirmation of Departure Air Tickets
The departure air tickets (both international and domestic) should be reconfirmed 72 hours in advance. You could make it by calling the airline offices in Beijing. The telephone numbers of airline companies will be available at the 4th ASOMP registration desk or the booking office at the hotel.
